VHS won the battle of the formats with Beta in the 1980s, becoming the dominant home video format until the turn of the century. VHS-C is it's little compact brother, being used in the 'portable' camcorders of the day. Get your VHS tapes transferred now before they deteriorate further!
Remember these guys? Video8 and Hi8 tapes were used in popular video camcorders from the 1980s to 2000s. If you used these, you probably have countless birthdays, Christmas', family vacations and other fond memories stored on these little tapes with no way watch them. Until now!
While these were all the rage at the close of the millennium, nowadays you’re most likely to find MiniDV, HDV and DVCAM tapes stored away somewhere collecting dust. The only way to play them is off the video recorder itself and how convenient is that…
While these are more rare, BetaMax and BetaCam had their day in the sun and actually were higher quality than many other tape formats. It's difficult to find machines that will play these so bring them to us and we'll take care of it.
Now these big guys are certainly old school, but were used by professional videographers back in the day! The quality still holds up very well, considering these are the oldest enclosed tape format ever made. They were also known as 3/4 inch tape.
